About the tutor


Gilli is an acomplished watercolour painter and a tutor of over 20 years experience.
These workshops will progress from basic techniques to special effects in watercolour, creating vibrant,and exciting painting along the way.

These 4 workshops are aimed at those who have painted in watercolour before but would like to try out new ideas and ways of painting.

Workshop 2 continue to learn how to paint smooth broad brushstrokes and fine line detail within 1 wash with1 brush.
Hoe to representfur and feathers.
How to create very dark and intense watercoulours very quickly.
How to recognise and apply negative shapes.
How to control pigment floww on a very wet surface.
How to create texture though deliberate blooms and with salt resist.
How to use the medium of watercolour to describe your subject without overworking.
How to "feather" edge and paint wet on dry.

Please bring your own materials to include sketchbook, cartridge paper, drawing equipment and painting medium and sundries that you usually work in. Easels are not supplied.

Time 10.00 4.30pm
Tea/ coffee included please bring your own pack lunch.
