Ceramicist thrown pots – On Wednesdays go in to book your date or organise your group of 5 lower the cost enjoy your experience.
These sessions will enable you to learn to manage clay, throw on the wheel, utilize the beautiful coloured paints and glazes to make your pot special to you.
There is the oportunity to book a session and bring a friend along so you both receive tuition share your time on the wheel, and the cost.
Each session is 3.5 hours which gives a good length of time to get a feel for working with clay, discover if throwing is for you.

About the tutor - Katharine "Katie" Gleeson, Ceramicist
Having completed her studies at Leek College of Art and Colchester Institute of Art with an ERAC Distinction and a Degree in Studio Ceramics, Katharine taught at Suffolk College and the Training for Life Project in Ipswich before opening her own studio in Suffolk.
Working in high firing white earthenware she creates highly individual pieces celebrating the female form and all things feminine and elegant.
Her vases, wall hangings and millinery embrace styles from the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries with soft flowing curves and delicate decoration featuring lace, roses and subtle colour. From her studio in Leiston, Suffolk Katharine teaches traditional techniques in working with clay to all ages and abilities where she is highly acclaimed as an “inspirational” tutor.
Katharine's teaching method highlights not only creativity but also the therapeutic qualities of working with clay and she has hosted workshops in schools and care homes and community groups Her own work is regularly exhibited at her studio and in galleries in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Am session (9.30-1pm) and PM (1.30 - 5pm) session
Each session will cost £105 inc vat
Each student will be allocated their own wheel.
All materials, equipment and up to three items for firing included
Coffee/tea/ juice Home made cake or savouries will be at the end of the morning or before afternoon sessions to allow Am and PM students to mingle.
