About the tutor
Gilli is an acomplished watercolour painter and a tutor of over 20 years experience.
These workshops will progress from basic techniques to special effects in watercolour, creating vibrant,and exciting painting along the way.

These 4 workshops are aimed at those who have painted in watercolour before but would like to try out new ideas and ways of painting.

About the workshop.

You will learn;

How to simplify a complex street scene by recognising value mass.
How to represent light effects.
How to use a limited palette.
How to use a colour bias for composition/ finding a focal point.
How to preserve dry highlights without using masking fluid.
how to build up layers of glazes and keep it transparent and uncluttered.
How to lift out watercolour to soften edges.

Please bring your own materials to include sketchbook, cartridge paper, drawing equipment and painting medium and sundries that you usually work in. Easels are not supplied.

Time 10.00 4.30pm
Tea/ coffee included please bring your own pack lunch.
